Childhood best friends Jessica Frandson and Jill King transformed their love of essential oils, the ancient art of aromatherapy & luxury beauty oils into a modern aromatherapy brand. Together they are CAMPO.
Jess is serial entrepreneur with a gift for spotting needs not being met, creating products and services that simplify life and make it better. Most recently, she built and sold a hip hair tie company, Twistband, creating a movement and new category with hair ties that did not damage or leave dents in hair (no dents or damage to hair that you could wear as a bracelet, mixing fashion and function). Twistbands connected women of all ages and touted as the new Scrunchie. She has over 20 years of marketing and branding experience with the non-toxic cleaning company Simple Green, where she worked closely with R&D to develop natural scent stories for their products and brought them to market. Being the daughter of former hippies/gyspets in Laguna Beach she received an immersion education in essential oils. Jess studied with a top perfume maker to learn the art of making perfume, and then applied those principles to blending essential oils that had top, middle and base notes with amazing results.
Jill started her career in lifestyle & entertainment marketing at the PR powerhouse Rogers & Cowan in LA over 20 years ago, where she launched and managed their West Coast Fashion & Beauty division. At Rogers & Cowan and later as an independent branding and marketing consultant, Jill worked closely with top global brands, Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, celebrities and non-profit organizations, including: L'Oreal, Revlon, Proctor & Gamble, Rayban, Rolex, Ralph Lauren, Target, DirecTV & Elton John’s Aids Foundation. This extensive experience helped her learn everything that goes into launching and building a brand, as well as develop the business skills she needed to launch CAMPO. Throughout her career, she has been a student of aromatherapy and essential oils. Jill has been blending beauty oils for decades and she is sentimental about her tattered journal that holds all her beloved formulas.
